PSU Upgrade?

I'm considering upgrading my current PSU, which you can view here, with this 1000watt PSU 80+ Gold for $169.99. The reason is because of how my PC is setup, I want to be able to overclock, and I was wondering if the lack of wattage is what's giving me a lackluster performance increase.

I would upgrade your PSU NOT because of a lack of wattage but because the M12II EVO is not a very good psu, ranked tier D in our PSU Tier list.

for your use 1000W is WAY overkill. at most your system pulls no more than 400w. I would recommend getting something like a corsair RM650, Seasonic Focus GX-650 or anything ranked tier B and above in the list linked above.
