Which power supply from the tier list?

Pingo123

Hey i need to get a new psu and after taking a look at the tier list im not quite sure which one to get. Im running a i7 2600k and gtx 1080. A friend told me i should get one with 650watts and he recommended seasonic and corsair to me. I am thinking about getting the seasonic focus gx 650w, but in the footnotes on the tier list it says that it might have issues if manufactured pre 2018. On e.g. Amazon you cant see when the psu you're buying was manufactured so idk what to do. Also it would be great if you had other suggestions for psu's (from the tier list). It shouldnt be more than 100€ (im from Germany)

The Tier list is there to give you options.  Pick a Tier, and then shop for the PSU's on the list.

It's not to tell you which one to get.

Thanks for the reply. In the tierlist the only corsair rm i can find is called corsair rm gray. Can i get any Version of the rm or is gray a specific version? And would you not recommend the seasonic gx focus or is there any reason why you didint include it?

I asked a similar Q earlier today and got some great advice and also a link to the list. I've decide to go corsair, likely the RMx series which from some further research seem to be the ones to get as a minimum, i.e. not their older RM series.

Hope that helps.

Thank you i took a look at your thread. The rmx sound good but im unsure because the seasonic focus gx is also A tier and is like 30€ cheaper.

Ah yes a fair point and from what I know about PSUs also reputable and good quality so a good choice too I'm sure.
