Micro USB DAC through Type C adapter.

Hey everyone, just curious whether this will work, looking at getting a portable DAC/AMP for my 3.5mm-less phone, however it uses micro usb, will it still work if i plug it into my phones type c port through a micro usb to type c adapter? Cheers.
