PC for adobe applications

Hi all. My wife and I are looking to upgrade our PC to get better performance out of our Adobe applications. Specifically we use Lightroom, Premiere, and Premiere Rush regularly.  We are thinking desktop to save money but could be talked into a laptop. Does anyone have recommendations?  Looking for the best value. I’m mostly working with 1080p/60 fps video.

what kind of budget are you looking for?

will you be storing files on the computer and needing extra harddrive space?

what do you currently have for parts? integrating previous computer hardware will allow a better set of necessary components within a budget if we can reuse PSU, harddrives, case etc

The best gaming PC is the PC you like to game on, how you like to game on it

Let’s say <$2k

could wait. Do you think it would be worth it?  Better processor for the money?

<$2k. Will likely need extras storage. Don’t really have anything as far as parts go

you don't really need to wait for the 5000 series AMD processors, for the price (saves you 250$) the 3000 series is perfect for 1080p video editing

- 3600XT will be more than enough to export quickly and clocks up really well when cooled properly

- 2TB nvme ssd will fly through your timeline scrubbing and gives plenty of space to keep large file sets on the fastest storage

- the RTX2060 is a little overkill but is the first step into dedicated AI cores for futureproofing the system when more of those features show up in premier pro and davinci resolve

- smaller case to free up some deskspace or floorspace and has magnetic dust filters so you can easily clean them off

- added a pair of extra fans to have as intake/exhaust for the case. they run silent even at full blast so you won't notice the system is running (great for audio proofing)

- 1440p proArt display lets you have the timeline and a full resolution preview window up at the same time, it's also colour accurate

- external HDD to backup everything, 8TB should be plenty to keep raw footage or just edited clips

- since you said you were starting from scratch a UPS is worth the investment. Provides power to the system for a few minutes so you can save and shut down instead of just having the system suddenly power off while you are in the middle of an edit.
