Sennheiser cx 300 ii upgrade?

So I have a pair of Sennheiser cx 300 ii and was wondering if there would be any significant upgrade from them. I've been looking at the shure SE215's. They appeal to me because they have a removable cord, so if it breaks, I can just get another one. However I dont like the idea of the over the ear design (looks ugly to me) so im not sure if I would wear them as designed in public (yes, im self conscious).

I only listen to music on my phone if that makes a difference. So do you think there is a reason to upgrade? If so are the Shure SE215's a good choice. Budget under $150 please. Open to other suggestions.

I'd keep them as long as they live, they are really nice headphones for its price.
