It should be sufficient. Maybe bump the clockspeed to 3.8-4GHz?

I still have a i7 920 and love it. It should be fine, this CPU still hauls pretty hard. If you have decent cooling, it should be able to hit 3.6-38 ghz without too much trouble. Bump the multiplier up to 21 (basically locking in the trubo speed 24/7) and bump the base clock as high as it will go with good temps and volts, and should be just fine :)
