audio device not detected

my headset work nice in my laptop but when i plug it in my desktop through jacks it doesn't even detect it, idk what to do

Is the plug connected to the soundcard/motherboard?

Suggesting that the desktop PC audio jack is on front panel.

i tried on both jacks the case one and the motherboard one , nothing , not even the sound of it being detected

and i tried with my headset and my headphones both didn't get detected but both worked fine in my laptop
