Hey folks,

6 months ago I built myself a new setup including a Rtx 2070 Super. Now after all those months of a perfectly working system, I turned on my computer and suddenly had green dots all over my two monitors and had the Error Code 43 in my device manager plus the GPU didnt get recognized anymore. Since I can still use my warranty, I returned my graphics card and ordered a new one.

Do you think this was a hardware problem which can suddenly occure? I heard that it could be a broken VRAM and it could happen with some RTX models...

FYI: I‘ve never overclocked anything of my gear.

And maybe if its still not working with the new GPU, do you have any idea what other part could be broken?

Cheers

Nick

Error 43 is usually hw failure, but can be driver related.

The problem here is that I tried to fix the drivers but since the GPU was not recognized as a device anymore, I couldn‘t install other Nvidia drivers...

Check you video connections between the graphics card and the monitor. I had an issue like this but not the Error 43 where green dots would show up in the sky of American Truck Simulator...apparently, the DisplayPort cable was not fully seated in the monitor's DisplayPort.

I mean were you able to see a POST screen or did it just not function as a GPU at all?  If only when you're trying to get into Windows then that's driver related, but if in all scenarios that is hw related.

It started appearing when the computer was booting up and also stayed for the rest of the time, so it sounds like it somehow has a hw related issue.

It was on both monitors, it would be pretty random if suddenly out of nowhere both connections to the monitors would be not fully seated... but yea I tried the other sockets and it didn‘t help at all.

Oh, ok. Perhaps the issue will go away with the new graphics card.
