I just finished installing a new cpu and mobo in my computer. The cpu I have is the intel i7 - 4820k and my graphics card is a gtx 660. Now for some reason my graphics card wont output to my monitor. My power supply is 500w so could the problem be that there isn't enough power in my system? If anyone knows to help please do. Thanks :)

You could run the system off of a good 350w if you wanted. 500w is more than enough. Have you made sure you plugged in power for the cpu?

did you remember gpu power cable. did it CLICK in to the pci-e slot. try using another gpu if you have one and if it works install the drivers for the new gpu and try again.

EDIT: also try using another video output

The power cable is in and it's firmly in place. I don't have any other graphics cards or outputs available as I don't have any other cables.

Coole rmaster rs-500-pcap-13

Hopefully that's not a problem.

So your PC actually turns on? Lights go on, fans start spinning etc.? It's only that nothing comes up on your display?

Are you using your motherboard standoffs in all the right places board could be shorting out somewhere.

Well, if that is so, there is no way I am going to be able to fix it. But i am 99.999999% sure that, that isn't it. Mostly because all of the standoffs are in the right places

Some motherboards require you use the second pcie slot if your running a single card. I would take a look at the manual and see if this is the case.

Check your cpu power has been plugged in at the top left of the mobo.

If you have a cmos reset switch somewhere use it and reset your bios, you never know....

Other than that make sure you have not grounded the motherboard against your case.

If it does not  make any noise there is something wrong as most, if not all mobos have a certain amount of beeps to state any errors or just failures.

Try using your old mobo, or buy a cheap m-itx mobo and use it as a test rig.

If you know where I'm going with this, I say its your mobo.
