Resetting the TPM

Hello all,

 

I use bitlocker to encrypt data on a portable drive, however when resetting my Windows 10 computer I was asked whether I should reset the TPM. I have printed the encryption recovery key for the drive on paper before attempting the reset.

 

I have the following questions:

 

1.  Will I lose my data If I reset the TPM?

 

2. Can I access the encrypted drive on any computer so long as I have the encryption recovery key?
