You aren't mistaking this for coil whine by any chance? Here's an example of coil whine. 

 

 

But effectively, when a GPU is under load, there can be "whining" or a "buzzing" sound coming from your gpu. If it is coil whine, there's not much you can do about it. Maybe if you contact Gigabyte, they might (but I doubt it) rma it for you and maybe you'll get another card that has "less" coil whine.

thanks for the reply but no. its a constant frequency and settles down if i touch the backplate.
