Should I go Intel or AMD?

Hello! I was wondering for a 500 USD budget should I go Intel or AMD for gaming?

if you've got a fluid budget, intel as it's a bit better price per dollar in exclusively gaming.
if your budget is hard, amd as you can get cheaper parts overall, but you'll lose a bit of gaming performance, but you'll have a better upgrade path for the future.
if your budget is hard as rock and you need every frame, look into some exotic intel parts off ali express.
