I have had this wifi card asus pce ac68 for about 2 years now and over the past month it has gone from 200mbps to around 14mbps and i don't know why. I reinstalled the most recent drivers which were from 2017 but nothing helped. I know it is just my router because a speed test on my phone is about 200mbps. anyone know why? I'm pretty sure it inst degradation because it has no moving parts but still, should i just get a new one?

I don't actually give useful information, hopefully I just  say something funny.

is this router also your isp modem or is it down stream?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

not a clue what that means

It probably doesn’t matter.
sometimes there is more than one routing device. Something to make sure of.  Not knowing what it means says “yes” to me.

The way I am reading this (which may be wrong)  are 3 devices:

1) the router, which is what the isp connects to and where the WiFi comes from,
2) the desktop with the pce 68 in it

3) the phone

the phone(3) connects to the router1(1) fine.

the pce 68(2) doesn’t connect to the router(1) well at all, though until recently it did fine, correct?
