[Urgent Help Needed] Cannot shutdown Linux PC

SOLVED!

Solution Found on a Google search,

Hit Ctrl + Alt + Del and the system will restart but instead of restarting I pressed Del key to load BIOS. Now in BIOS, I can press CPU shutdown button.

Did that but it did not get closed.

However, now it is written:

did you click in the console before pressing it? you also need to hold down ctrl and press c.

 

Also it looks like its updating your repo list probably. Why not just let it finish?

I managed to close the console by pressing 

Alt + F4.

But now I am stuck with this localhost login page.

? If your in a console and its asking to login, then login with your username and password.

 

I have no idea what your doing or necessarily talking about. You have given very minimal information to go on.

 

Commands used or screenshots would be helpful.
