I'm not sure if this is where to post this, i'm new to this stuff but i have an AMD R7 240 graphics card, this one: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/hp-r7-240-badger2-fh-4-gb.b5532

Well it looks like that one anyway :)

My computer won't boot with it plugged in, the fans don't even spin on the graphics card.

 

The specs for my computer: 

Asus a320m grenade motherboard

Pentium P4 Model: ST-400cbga+ (120w/400w?) Atx switching power supply

6GB ram

AMD a4-6300 cpu

 

Would it be the card or my rig needs upgrading, sorry if i'm noob

Ok so your R7 240 graphics card is probably dead and not worth trying to fix. Try to find a cheap used graphics card for no more than $50. Otherwise yeah you should buy or build a new computer.
