Matx and compact cases with the new high end power hungry GPUS

Haak

After the NVIDIA launch yesterday we got confirmation that the next generation of GPUs will use quite a lot of power and thus of course generate a fair amount of heat. If you are planing to go with a higher end card such as 3080 or higher, should you think twice about smaller cases? Personally i dont see the need for a behemoth of a case and would like to get away with no bigger than a compact case such as the pure base 500 or the define 7 compact. However, i dont want to end up with a hotbox and value performance over size (as long as the performance gains are significant). I plan on aircolling and can see myself running a 8-12 core cpu with a moderate overclock on both the cpu and gpu. What are your thoughts?
