Hello,

I’ve built my first PC 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I’ve updated one of the motherboard drivers and I’ve noticed that just before the PC completely shuts down I can hear that beep sound. The system is overclocked. When I changed the system to stock or turned on the game boost, the noise was gone. I’ve attached a video.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I have some server motherboards that do that. When they power off, the onboard speaker makes a little beeping sound right as it shuts off. It doesn't mean anything is wrong with your PC and it's perfectly normal.

Is it normal that it does not happen when the system is not overclocked? The sound only started yesterday. I assume it would be always there from the very start, not just from yesterday.

Nice rig.

So the beeps, only happened once?

Beep codes can be found here.

Should direct us to why hopefully.

This beeps happens every time I shut off my pc. I’ve stress tested my pc for an hour today and all the temperatures and components looked fine. When I went back to stock system, so 3.8 GHz, the beep was gone. The beep started happening yesterday after I’ve updated the motherboard driver.

Basically I turn off my pc and just before it shuts down completely it beeps. I’m a noob with PCs so those codes are like foreign language

Yeah, shouldn't be doing that.

Most beep codes are at start up or post, not during shut down.

Have you ever updated the bios?

Yes, all the drivers are up to date. Could this be because there is no enough power in some components?
