Ok,

I flashed a XFX 5700XT bios on my XFX RX5700 and it worked for over half a year.

So I downloaded radeonmod.exe today to change some settings that someone recommended.

I click on restart driver and radeonsoftware crashes. And I can't launch it again. I don't remember what it said. I think it couldn't recognize the gpu.

I tried all the recommended fixes I found and nothing helped.

After that I launch in safe mode, run DDU, reset and try to install the latest amd driver.

From that point on i only got error 182 on the installation. It couldn't recognize my gpu. Device manager or GPU-Z can't see it either. Did I brick the card? But I still get a normal image on one screen.

So then I wanted to flash a new bios on the gpu. But there's the second major problem. Windows won't let me launch it.

I always get the message

"windows OS requirements"

"Due to Microsoft Win8 enhanced security features, this Application requires the user to be in Administrator mode. To enable this mode please right click the mouse on the application , then selecr "run as administrator"",

which i already am doing. I even uninstalled IE as I couldn't find anything online about this issue other than that.

This happens in both the GUI and the CMD version of atiflash.

Also happens in previous versions.

I ran sfc scannow and dism scan. It said it found an error and couldn't fix everything in the sfc one. In the sfc scan i did just now it found errors and fixed all of them. gonna restart and check really quick.

Please help!?! I'm worried I may have to clean install windows.

I did the changes in radeonmod from this post: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/621209-amd-gpu-tweaks-for-performance/

You need to download and use ATI Flash. GPU-Z will help as well to verify the bios took.

I tried that already. I got the newest version and also tried 2 older ones. none of the worked because of:

"windows OS requirements"

"Due to Microsoft Win8 enhanced security features, this Application requires the user to be in Administrator mode. To enable this mode please right click the mouse on the application , then selecr "run as administrator""

Even if i just do it from a CMD prompt with admin.

Also got GPU-Z. It doesn't detect the gpu at all.

List your rig's parts and what OS you use.

No u listed it all. Guessing you're using Windows 10. When you right click ATI Flash and run as Admin you get a error?

yeah i get the same error. which is very confusing.

But I was able to install radeon adrenalin 2020 after switching the bios switch on my gpu. Now i'm on the old bios. I wanna put the XT one back on the other bios switch. Gotta get atiflash to work.
