Need info on I/O panel for a Corsair 780T case.

airdog

On the Corsair 780T case I/O panel there are 5 fan header wires that are connected to the the I/O, for the fan controller. Question, are those wires soldered to the I/O or can they be disconnected? I won't be using them & I'm trying to reduce wire clutter in case & it's something I wont be using. Thanks in advance if anyone can answer this for me.

they are probably soldered in place, but if the case functions with them not plugged into anything, than it will function if you snip them off.

I wouldn't advise that either, but only because once you cut them, it'd be very difficult to re-attach them if you wanted to use that feature.

It must be true, I read it on the internet...

After tearing it all apart, I got my question answered. It's a connector not soldered. Was way easier taking i/o off then I originally thought, good job corsair. Now I have 6 less wires(5 fan & 1 sata power) in my case that I don't need.
