I think that build is pretty good, make sure you get dual-channel ram (2 sticks) so you get a little bit more performance. I have no experiences with gigabyte motherboards, i'd go for an msi or asus but if you are comfortable with the price go for it.

Main PC:

ASUS F1A55-M LX, AMD A6-3500, (2x2)gb Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz, Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm,
Corsair CX430M, Cooler Master Elite 343, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Netbook:

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2, Intel Atom N280, (1x1)gb DDR2 667mhz, WD Scorpio Blue 250gb 5400rpm, Zorin OS 9 Lite

I am going to build this:

-elite 110

-intel 4670k

-gigabyte h87 wifi

-msi gtx 760 itx

-h55 water cooler

-120gb Kingston ssd

-1tb wd blue

-hiperX 8gb 1600

-cx500M

-windows 8.1

I am in a $1000 budget.

What do you think about it?

Build looks good if your up to it, im gonna warn you that it will be very tight in there with a rad installed. Also make sure the ram isnt too big in the heatsink size, you will probably route your cables over the ram area so you will need to save space.

Are you planning on overclocking?

If not, than get a 4670 or 4570. No point in getting a H87 Mobo and an unlocked CPU.(H87 Mobo can't overclock)

If it were me , I'd go with the Asus just because I like Asus products. But there are 2 negatives to the asus - no surround sound and no built in wifi. Overall the gigabyte looks like a more premium board.
