I am looking for some decent components for a gaming PC with a budget of $1,000-$1,500. It would be awesome if someone could help, I need literally everything from a CPU to a keyboard. I'd appreciate any response I get. This will be my very first build of my own so it's a bit special to me.

When are you building? New parts from Nvidia, amd, and Intel are coming out later this year and if possible, you should wait.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Most likely it won't be till early-mid next year, I am leaving for Military school Monday and won't be back till around Christmas so I can't till I get back and get a job lmao

Then don’t bother with a full parts list now. By then all new components will be out. I recommend making a new post closer to when you are planning on building.
But a rough estimate of what you would get is the replacement for the 3600 with the replacement for the 2060 super or 5700xt and 16gb ram.

In that case I wouldn't worry about it until then. As zeusthemoose said, new parts are coming out later this year, so I'd wait until they're out and see how they perform, before deciding. A response to new parts is usually that the current gen drop in price, but will still be viable for a PC anyway.

You will have to answer some questions to yourself.

Which resolution should your monitor have?

Which games will you play?

If you dont go for high end games and or 4K resolution, you dont need a high end graphics card.

AMD or Intel?

As I heard, AMD can be better at the moment.

When using Intel cpu:

Do you want to overclock?

A more expensive Z mainboard can support higher RAM speed and overclock your cpu but you can safe money if you dont overclock.

My build:

CPU

Intel Core i7 9700 8x 3.00GHz So.1151

CPU cooler

be quiet! Shadow Rock Slim

Motherboard

MSI B360-A PRO Intel B360 So.1151 Dual Channel DDR4 ATX

RAM

GPU

8GB Gigabyte GeForce RTX2070 WindForce 2X 3xDP/HDMI

SSD

500GB Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2 2280

Something along the lines of this. Wait for new hardware if you can so replace that 3600 and 2070 super with the equivalent new models.
