0% GPU Usage on CoD MW

I recently upgraded my CPU from a i7 6700k to a Ryzen 7 3700x and I just tried CoD for the first time. After a bit I noticed lots of bad frame drops, stuttering, and freezing for a second at a time. I opened up task manager and saw that my CPU usage was 70ish % and that my GPU usage was at 0 for CoD. I have a 2080 Super and in the settings for CoD it shows up as being the recognized graphics card but it seems like it is simply not using it. I've tried checking for driver update but I was all caught up and then I checked the shaders for CoD itself because those could cause some issues but they are all downloaded. All other games seem to be working just fine with zero graphical issues. I have seen other posts related to this issue on reddit/activision forums but I have seen no resolution to them yet, was hoping the heroes of LTT would have a solution.

sounds like Task Manager not seeing your GPU correctly. Check with GPU-Z on usage and utilization. I know COD MW is very VRAM heavy when maxed out so you could be running into a VRAM issue and may need to turn down some settings. I know my 2080ti which has 11gb, sometimes runs up close to that in COD MW so its where I would start looking.

Don’t use task manager for gpu monitoring. Also watch percore for the cpu. 
I hope you aren’t using 1080p, the cpu is probably struggling with that gpu.
