I've recently obtained my first ever SSD, an m.2 drive at 500GB. After installing it in to my laptop I proceeded to migrate my OS to the drive. Only problem is my BIOS (Which is inconsistent as hell to boot in to) doesn't recognize my SSD as a valid boot media so I can't select it as a boot option. I've made sure to error check the disk, rebuild the MBR, changed my drive from MBR to GPT as that's what C:\ is, and fiddle around with the advanced options in my ASUS BIOS. Nothing seems to work. My C:\ drive is really slow and its by far the bottleneck of my system. I really don't want to have to use Z:\ as an install drive for only specific programs, I want my Windows install to boot from it. Any advice? I perfomed the migration with AOEMI Partition Pro. Is the drive letter or label the problem? Am I screwed? I really don't want to have windows as the only copy I have is the one that came preinstalled, and getting a hold of some of the software I have installed is going to be a huge pain.
