I recently build my first PC with Ryzen 3100 and 1650 super. But after setting things up and Getting my RAM upto 1600 MHz by infinity fabric (as I own 3200 MHz of 8*2 RAM sticks) , the OC Genie made the CPU go to 4.2 GHz . To be mentioned  3100's base clock is 3.6 and boost clock is 3.9. So there is a +300 MHz boost . For this reason as it was running at higher frequency that boost clock and and with stock wraith cooler , It made me panic for a bit and I turned of the OC genie. So my question is , Is it safe to use OC Genie as don't have any past experience of overclocking and it's my dream PC I bought with my own money . So I'm not willing to take any risks. I also play modern AAA titles.  Sorry for the bad English skill and it's not my native language.

I personally always suggest against any overclocking features or software not provided by the cpu maker. The issue isn't that its often they will cause issues its that they can cause issues and someone who uses them is unlikely to know how to correct/deal with them. If your 1650 S is getting good usage in games I wouldn't mess with it.

You should be fine as long as temps are in check, and OC Genie did not set any static voltages as those can be bad for Ryzen. I would suggest using something called PBO, or precision boost overdrive. It's a tool made by AMD themselves. 3100s and 3300xs can overclock quite a lot so that's not very surprising.

Well I haven't messed with that. But through the XMP as I said before it's running at a higher clock speed about 300MHz higher than base or it's max boost clock. The temps are also check ranging about 44 to 47C while Idle and 56 to 64C during gaming or other workloads . So do I need to tweak anything?

Well I get about 68 to 90 FPS in modern titles and I have a 75Hz monitor so things aren't bothering me that much. I just want my PC to be safe and to avoid any unintentional thing that's gonna cost me hard.
