Windows XP GPU

hello guys,

I wanted to build al windows XP gaming machine. I recently bought a optiplex 745. I mainly want to upgrade my GPU, but it must be a low profile and a half heigt card. on top of that it can only take power of the PCIe slot.

My purpose is running most windows XP games. Does anyone have a recommendation?

You could hook up an RX 460 or an RX 550 on the AMD side. On the Nvidia side maybe a GTX 1030 or a 750ti would be great even tho for a Windows XP machine, even these lower-midrange cards are a little overkill.

I could not find a low profile version of those cards. I only found a gt 1030 low profile and half height, but there aren't any drivers for windows XP for that GPU around.

oh sorry forgot to check about driver support.

I did a little bit of research and with a gt 710 you should be good to go. If you wanna go with AMD, you could go with a Radeon HD 7750. If you want a little more oomph, you could go with the gt 730. I would say the most powerful card among these is the 7750 and shoould get you through most xp games with decent framerates.
