Crusader Kings 2 is one of the few games you can say things like "hmm looks like marrying my daughter to her uncle is the best way" and "HOW HARD IS IT TO KILL A 3 YEAR OLD"

Definitely some of the best games around. I'm surprised that Linus never heard of any of these...

I guess he never plays grand strategy genre.
