Fan placement with GPU

Hi, good day! I just wanted to ask about my fan placement under the GPU, the air flow is going up in this fan to the GPU.

 

 

I'm confused.

If the backside of the fan is pointed at the GPU, yes that is flowing at the gpu.

 

However the dead spot in the center of the fan kinda makes it pointless and probably negatively skews the video card's air flow.

 

Can you put a slim fan there instead??

I don't have any slim fan, I think I just gonna test it if it has better results

Oh for sure test it. 

 

I find with my folding at home rig, putting a fan in this orientation does help with temp.
