after waiting an eternity for my new asus 165 hz monitor it just got here and the backlight wont turn on, i can see the screen with the flash of my phone but it just wont turn on

wtf any suggestions

See if you can change the brightness of the monitor, there should be a button or nipple control at the back to do so. If it's a defective monitor though then you should send it back and get a replacement or refund, since it just got there

brigthness at full , doesnt change anything. backlight is simply off

Then it is likely you'll need to send it back and get a replacement. What is the specific model name of the monitor though?
