I currently have a Core 2 Duo E6600 LGA 775 in my Gateway E-4610D. I'm interested in upgrading it to a Core 2 Quad Q9400. Other than just the socket, is there anything else I need to check before the purchase? I'm happy to give more info about my system. Thank you in advance.

Edit: Do you know if I will be able to overclock it? Currently, I cant overclock the E6600
