I have a stick of 8GB CL16 RAM Hyperx Fury at 2666MHz (it's the maximum frequency supported by my Asus Prime X370-Pro motherboard).

I want to buy another stick of memory and I found out about the new RGB ones from Hyperx. Does it matter if it's a different type of RAM if I buy the RGB one with the same specs (2666MHz CL16) ?

Here are the links for the memories:

Sometimes it's fine but won't be necessarily optimal and sometimes it just won't work.  Sadly you have to test it to see if it works.  Getting ram with the same specs is a start but if possible (assuming that you don't want to buy a new kit and go through the process of selling the old ram) try to find one stick with the exact maker and number on the ram stick down to the latency and sub timing.  That's what I would try to do if I just wanted to add one stick to my system.  But even there it's not guaranteed that it would work.
