Budget (including currency): $0-$1000 I educated my self a bit and it seems like you don't have to spend up to 1k for the performance I am looking for

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Beamng, Forza, GTA, COD, Any other trendy game

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): 1440p 60 or more

Hey everyone this is my 3rd frequent post on the forums because my gpu is dying.. anyways I need some help from you guys again, I have honestly been out of the know it all pc game for a while now

what I mean by that is I don't know what is the latest out there, I don't know the best bang for buck stuff like that I am not up to date with cpus, gpus, really anything. I still know the terms stuff like that but

don't really know what I should go for thats why I am making this post.

So I think my computer besides the dying gpu is still a pretty strong one.. My first plan was to sell this whole computer and buy or build another but I don't think stuff like my motherboard or cpu are that old / slow for me

to do that rn

What I'm trying to say is I need help choosing which gpu I buy, I am gonna list all my pc specs down below because I know some cards eat up power so we have to take that into consideration, hopefully cards now are more efficient.

I currently have a 32 inch curved 1080p monitor and tbh I am so used to it, on a big screen like this you can realllyyyy tell the difference between 1080p and others so my plan is since I am switching my gpu why not go 1440p, I would like 4k but the monitors are still a bit pricey and I might as well do that when I build another pc

As for refresh rate above 60 would be nice but I think that would involve going even higher into the gpu spec and I don't play a lot of games mostly just watch Youtube, but when I do play a game I want it to run really good, max settings

I do run a over clock on my cpu, its about 4.20 ghz

Also if you guys know a good monitor too please let me know anything 32 inch and up

Thanks everyone! I am gonna binge watch a bunch of videos but just wanted to make this thread asap so if anything more happens to the gpu I can still check it out!

A 256gb ssd only for boot would not hurt and a AMD r7 3700x performs way better as a cpu and the video card is pretty low end maybe a 1650 if the budget allows

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

Made a list here price can be improved the storage situation is a little confusing how many storage devices do you already own? Also, if u only own the 2TB only use that and a 500GB or 256GB boot m.2 drive SSD, also u forgot RAM so took 16GB 3200Mhz

Edit: I have educated my self a little it seems you don't need to spend 1k to get the performance I am looking for... 1440p max settings 60 fps and up

just get a 5700XT and you'll be fine, the 5930k is still very capable.

Doesn't matter, it's backwards and forwards compatible and the 5700XT doesn't care about the extra bandwidth.

Pretty sure it doesn't have any RGB whatsoever to make it favor MSI boards over others. If you really want an MSI card, get the Gaming X. Otherwise get a sapphire pulse or gigabyte gaming OC instead.
