DIY sd usb thing

(note I am useing a chromebook) So I have sd to usb adapter. I also have a usb c hub also. When I try to plug the sd card adapter with the sd in it into the hub it ends of when you try to move files on or off it a error message shows up. I know it is doing this because the chromebrook knows that I am using a hub (adapter) and a adapter pluged into the hub so this happens. It there a way I could permently fuse the sd to usb adapter and the sd card where the chrombook does not reginize it as a adapter but just as a device? For example by removing something on the sd to usb adaper motherboard that makes the chrombook read it as a adaper
