Port-forwarding help

is this the place to port-forward or do I have to find it somewhere else? I have tried doing it here but it does not work.

Looks correct.

 

It should be...

Name - Whatever you want it to be called

IP Address - The internal IP address of the computer you want to forward from

Port - The port you want to forward

Protocol - More than likely TCP though you'd need to check that yourself, Google can tell you if the app needs TCP or UDP

 

You'll also need to forward the same port in the Windows firewall (or any third party firewall) on the host machine.

Yes it is correct (looks like an Huawei router).

 

What do you mean with "it does not work" ?

 

Is the router giving you an error? Or you are just unable to access the port remotely?

 

Is the router connected directly to the internet or to another router? Are you sure you have a public IP address?

I attempted to port forward my minecraft server, my friend could not join the server using the ip: (my ip):25565

And yes, it is a huawei router.
