my motherbord is a HP Compaq 8200 Elite CMT and i have a i5 2400 in it the socket type is LGA-1155 cna i upgrade to a i7 3770 or not?

HP's product page for that PC lists the motherboard as a Q67 express, the best CPU you can get is an i7-2600.

Also, $150 CAD is too much for a 3770, you can get eBay listings much closer to the $100 mark. The 2600 will be even less.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
