So, I plan to get a new laptop. But I turn my eye to my laptop(You can see my laptop's spec in my singature)

I'll upgrade the RAM to 8x2 from 4x2

                   add a M.2 (Kingston A2000 500GB)

So, "yeah" that will make this laptop "A LOT" faster. I think

But back to question, Is this powerful enough?

So i7-6500U is kinda the same CPU power as I'm using right now(AMD Athlon X4 845)

But my laptop GPU(Nvidia 940MX) is like 96% GPU power better than my GT730

I do Light to Medium: Gaming

High to Very High: Roblox Animation Making

       Medium to High: Video Editing

       Low: Photo Editing

you might find that one one of the two 4gb sticks can be changed, that's how laptops are usually built. so amx ram is 12gb. which should be enough, to be honest.

I'd say try it, see if you're satisfied with the performance. if not, you can always carry over the new ram and ssd to your new laptop.
