I have to build a new computer for my college class next semester and I’m not sure what all I have is a good build and I would also like to water cool it if I could. It is also going to be a red and black theme. Or should I just wait to pick the parts for the computer till the beginning of the semester?  The main reason that I’m doing this parts build is so that I have a general price for the computer build with some wiggle room on the price.

Here is a list of specs

Intel Core i7-4770k CPU
2 Asus GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Video card
Asus Maximus VI Extreme ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16Gn (2 X 8GB) DDR3-24000 (I might put another 16GB in it just for fun)
Intel 530 240 GB 2.5 “SSD
3 3TB 3.5" Seagate Barracuda HDD
Corsair 1200W   80= Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
I would like to put 2 of the 3 Hard Drives in to a Raid Array but I don’t know that raid and what a good Raid Card is. So if you know then will you please let me know?
It will have Wi-Fi card but I don’t know what one to get right now over even if i should get one because the motherboard has one that it comes with but I’m not sure how good of a card it is.
It might end up have a wired Network card if the teacher doesn’t let me use the stander ports on the motherboard.
On the water cooling part I don’t know what all I would need. So if you could tell me what a good CPU and GPU block, pump, reservoir, tubing, radiators and how many of them I should have. This is my first build with water cooling
The Case will be picked out around how many radiators and the size of them.
If there is anything else you would suggest me putting in this computer then let me know.

Well, none of the tasks you just listed really require some of the extreme parts you have there. That power supply is total overkill, even for 2 780 Tis. I guess if you are an extreme gamer doing some epic downsampling, you can get two of them, but otherwise, one is pretty powerful. And custom liquid cooling is completely unnecessary, unless you are kind of doing it for fun. Even the most intense games don't really require that you overclock to that kind of degree.

What kind of computer classes are you taking? Unless you mean 3D modeling computer classes or AudoCAD work, you really don't need to build a computer for classes. If you're interested in graphic design, do you mean video or just images?

Workstation: i7-4930k | Asus Rampage IV Gene | Reference GTX 780 | 32GB Crucial Ballistix | 500GB Samsung 840 EVO | Corsair RM650 | MidNight Black BitFenix Prodigy M

Old Rigi5-2500k @ 4.7 GHz | Asus P8P67 Deluxe | EVGA GTX 560 | 16GB Corsair Vengeance | 240 GB Samsung 830 Pro | 1TB Hitachi | CoolerMaster Storm Scout (1)

Im not sure what the class is called but it for computer networking technolgies class and i have to build a computer for one of the classes and the water cooling is partaly for fun but also ive always wanted a water cooled system.
