SSD Cases / covers?

So I've bought my self a NZXT H440 white, grabbed some new blue LEDs (bradded) along with the BitFenix Alchemy blue cables. So nicely colour coordinated with white black and blue, however, the H440 has 2 2.5" mounts which I indend to mount my old gen Samsung SSD and Corsair SSD. However, the corsair drive is bright red... And will be the only red in my system, so I'm a bit tied. I'd like to show it off in the mount but it's also ruining the whole colour code... So I was thinking to perhaps cover it with a blue sticker / case. But is that a thing? Any kinda drive mods I can do? Or should I just leave it as it is...?

Dude, just remove the chassis of the SSD and spray paint it. It's just a box to protect the PCB inside.

Also my Samsung SSD has a brushed look on the top, best way to paint and remove that?

is it an 840 series? if so you should be able to spray right over the top of it, or if you really want to i guess you could remove the stickers then sand it off?

Hmm good idea! Rather than taking it apart, I'd get away with taping up the connectors right?

Umm, hmm. Not sure. I don't have the clearance spec for the underside gap between the two parts, it looks like it may be a millimeter gap and so I wouldn't chance it with aerosol as some fine propellant can get in. Better to remove the cover, as long as you have verified the drive works the chances of having to use warranty on an SSD are so slim these days that it's not a worry. But you have to decide that.

If that doesn't sound ideal to you, you could always dry brush the cover manually using acrylic hobby paint.
