UEFI or Legacy

Each day I am finding out new stuff with my PC, and today that would be Legacy and UEFI. 

 

In my motherboard settings I noticed that I had the option for Legacy or UEFI, that was set to legacy. Now should I make a switch to UEFI (I think it is has quicker boot speeds?), and if I do make that change will that wipe my PC of all data?

My SSD is GPT formatted

Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX (BIOS Version is latest)

Yes you can use UEFI however do not change it unless your drive is partitioned as GPT otherwise windows wont boot!

 

You  may need to convert your drive to GPT first
