So a while ago I my computer, under load, would  crash, fans full blast, then go into a boot loop. This has been happening for a while. But a week or so ago, the computer failed to turn on at all. Usually when power gets connected it flashes a white light, and when you press on button, fans light up. This time, nothing happens but a specific light, lights up a different colour each time. I figured PSU was buggered since the computer never overheated, as I always checked the temperature of the components. So I bought a new PSU, some cables were to short (main and CPU connectors) so I bought extensions. This new PSU has no I/O switch, despite it being mentioned in manual, and when I plug no, no lights (Not even the one when it stopped working all together) no fans, and the power button on case does nothing. What am I to do? I need this computer for Uni, and I don't have much time left before I start falling behind on work.

Took PSU out of case, and managed to get it hooked up without extention but outside case, same thing, no power, so does that mean the new PSU is broken? Because surely if it wasn't the power supply that's broken, it'd do the same thing that the old PSU does right?
