hey guys just wondering what my school assignment means  in teams of comparing and contrasting technologies and components - the question is below

 

compares and contrasts the characteristics and the purposes of different WAN technologies and components 

 

im wondering if wan technologies is meaning anything that can use a wide area network

 

and

 

im wondering if components are meaning in a server like switch/routers etc?

 

not asking you to do my assignment for me im just looking for a little more help as google doesnt provide me with what i want

WAN components, sounds like the different aspects that create a WAN network. 

 

Contrasting the purposes could mean, differentiating the roles of different devices, such as the difference between modems and routers and what role they posses for the WAN.

I take it to mean things like: ATM, MPLS, GSM, TCP IP and other technologies like that. Why not ask your teacher?
