Stop Switcher Automatically Changing Display Inputs

daviden

I have an HDMI switcher going into a secondary monitor. One is connected to my PC (to act as a second display), one is for a chromecast, and one is for my Switch dock. When I turn off the Switch in handheld mode then dock it to charge it, the switcher tries to switch to it, making my screens turn black and flicker while windows tries to configure. Windows will then realize that nothing is there and go back to the original input, but with all the windows from the second monitor moved to the primary. Additionally I've been having driver issues so sometimes changing inputs will make my primary display go wacky and I need to cycle it. Is there anything I can do to stop the switcher from changing inputs automatically by changing settings in windows or am I at its mercy?

TL:DR- Can I change settings in Windows to stop my HDMI switcher from changing display inputs automatically, or would I need to get a new switcher with better options?
