Remote Control/Adding of Youtube/Apps

spotnyk

First off, I'm not sure this is the correct forum. My apologies if it is not.

The facts (long story short):

My elderly parents are in Dallas. I am in Salt Lake City at the moment.

My parents have Roku on both of their smart TV's

I sometimes have YouTube videos I want them to see (which I know they will appreciate).

Currently, this involves calling them on the phone, and waiting for them to use the remote to type in a partial title, then have them find the proper video (often requiring I send them a picture of of the thumbnail on whatsapp).

Is there any way that I can send a video directly to their YouTube app where it will just play? Somewhat like casting to a local Chromecast?

Any insight will be appreciated.

Thanks
