Hey, I've found some problems with my pc. When I play Rust or Escape From Tarkov (and all other games) I always get low gpu usage when i'm ingame. Thosevgames are very demanding and it seems like my gpu wont use all of its power. And sometimes I get under 50 fps which is just dt uacceptable for a 1080 at 1080p even on low settings.

My cpu is a Ryzen 5 3600 so no bottlenecking is happening, and my cpu usage is never above 30%.

The thing is, that when ai put all my settings up on max or do benchmarking, it seems to be running at 100%, but im still having low frames. Is it maybe possible to force 100% gpu usage or something?

I have 16 gb 2666mhz ram.

My gpu never gets above 60° C.

It would be amazing if anyone could help with my problem, since i've been trying tp find a solution for so long with no result.

(Tried nvidia controlpanel power settings and controlpanel power settings and resetting my pc fully).

have you possibly set a fps limit in a control panel somewhere?  i have only used AMD GPUs so idk if NVIDIAs control panel has anything like that. i would assume it would.

I havent set an fps limit since I on other maps in tarkov get plenty of frames, but they're also less demanding maps. I played with a friend who had a 1070 and he got 20-50% more frames than me on the demanding maps!

Neither of those games are demanding by any means, other than benefitting a lot from using an SSD. They're easy work for a 1080.  Even at 4k.  That being said, try turning off V-Sync in the game and enabling Fast Sync in the Nvidia Control Panel. You'll need to restart the game. That should max out either your CPU or GPU without causing tearing.

Your total CPU usage is almost meaningless. To get a real idea of what's going on, you need to monitor all 12 threads individually. If any one of them is reaching near 100%, it's going to be CPU bound.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!
