CPU Upgrade for running hyperv better

I want to know which cpu would be great for running hyperv on my pc. I have h81 lynx m/b and 4th gen i3 processor, 6 gb ddr3 1600 ram, 120 gb ssd for os and hyperv, 1 tb hdd. It runs on this h/w but not smoothly. Just don't know which cpu would be great in budget and performance --> i5 or i7.

Just help.
