My monitor is not displaying, but only when it is plugged to my desktop, which works just fine, any fix ?

Hello guys, I need HELP this problem is driving me crazy, when I plug my desktop to my monitor there is no display, but if I plug my desktop on the TV it works, and when I plug my monitor with other devices like the satellite receiver it works, so the monitor works and the desktop works but the two together they don't work, it's counter-intuitive.
PS: my monitor is asus vs248hr
