laptop startup problem

hi guys , i have a little problem whit my friends laptop, when i started , start to beep continuously doesn't , i have been seen somes ppl post whats the beep means but i do not know what is it - i try to clean the ram and continue the same thing , but somethimes , when beeps comes i press the key HOME and start the PC normaly but when i restarted , started the same ,sounds crazy i know - and im sorry for my english is so bad IK - thanks (y)
