Hello all,

I have just recently bought a Ryzen 5 3600 with a b450 tomahawk max. I am currently running at stock speeds with the stock cooler on it. In idle the temperature is just below 50c. If I run prime95 the temps will reach 95c (95 max is the max setting) in 8-10 mins. I am also running a r9 200 Series graphics card which will drop to 1/2 of the clock speed for a split second every 20-30 second under full load using fur mark. Is this normal behavior?

Thank you,

Ik I should invest into a new graphics card, broke university student here.

The stock cooler would be enough.. You might have messed up the thermal paste.. cuz I also had similar problems with my stock cooler on ryzen 3.. I re-applied the thermal paste and it worked just fine ( 80-90C at max load) and that too an APU!
