Flashing ethernet light

When I plug in my ethernet cable, there is a orange flashing light, and the connection in the game i play isn't as good as it has been in the past. I tried searching this up but not much help is given. The orange flashing light on the my motherboard near the ethernet port. I am using windows 10

The orange light is a signal light, it's supposed to be flashing.

I don't know there looks to be 2 lights where the cable is plugged in and one of them is a constant green whilst the other a flashing orange.

Yes, both of those are normal.
