Hey guys,

It may look like off-topic but I think this might be hardware-related issue.

I am playing Overwatch on my rig (below) and sometimes experience serious fps decrease moments (1-5s). Usually I play with 150 fps limit on 144Hz display and it keeps up.

Usually.

On screenshot there are high frametime spikes. And it appears that cpu and gpu just freeze

Which makes me wonder, why.

My rig:

Core i3-8350K @stock 4GHz

Gigabyte Z370M-D3H mobo

16 Gb DDR4 3200 Corsair Vengeance (not overclocked)

Gigabyte GTX1080@stock clock (boosting to 1.987 GHz); drivers ver. 441.66

Corsair SF450 gold psu

Storage:

240 Gb Smartbuy Sata 6 Gb/s

Crucial CT500P1SSD8 500GB NVMe

HDD WD 1Tb (not sure if it is awake during gaming)

The CPU and GPU are liquid-cooled with 2x240mm rads and Enermax Neochanger, temps are 40's to low 50's.

Case has 5 fans in total, I doubt this is an overheating issue. Torture tests show no performance problems.

Any help will be appreciated.

Perhaps I need to make it more clear. This is not typical behaviour of the system. It only gets this bad 1-2 times a day. Normally I get my 150 fps with several frametime bumps per 3-5 minutes. However sometimes it just goes mad, like when many projectiles are in the game (Hanzo's dragons, Moira's coalescence etc).
