Hi Linustechtips forum members

This is my first time posting here as I have been searching for about a week now for an confirmation

I have a lenovo laptop model z51-70 with intel i5-5200u cpu and Amd radeon r9 375m gpu windows 8.1 now 10 latest build

I randomly one day had a spam message from my system that the Amd driver was stopping and recovering and in that time I needed and windows update cause the windows had many problems then so I thought to myself okey this may be fine if I just update the windows, by coincidence my windows licence ended though it should not have so I used Kmsipco to activate it (mistake I know but at the time i just needed to activate it to do the update and some things was needed to by done on an activated windows) and it worked as it should and I updated  the windows by Microsoft tool for windows update and then weird things started to happen

The lap frozen had to hard restart it and every time I try to open windows it frozen had to go in safe mode to disable amd drivers and I tried everything I know and found on internet but without success to make it work again

So after this long unneeded story my question is: is the gpu dead 100% and all I have now is a machine to do light stuff on like word and stuff or if I did a fresh install for windows not an update on the pirated windows will it work again as the kmscipo activation did something to my gpu

Thanks in advance.

don't think it was kms that's your problem, but a clean install of windows might help all the same

and it might be drivers or software but it might also be overheating, are you blocking the vents?

I'd suggest get anything important off it and wipe it

Frist sry for late respond exams week here in college

All fan open and other opens are not closed and even if, the windows does not complete its boot to start and processes or get heated.

I tried to install the 3 different versions of amd software with different name (for some reasons) and non of them worked even the one I used befor starting anything I tried to do

I guess then the only thing left to do is either to do a full wipe and fresh install or open the laptop and look if there is any evidence of burned out wire of peace of the gpu

Anyway thanks for your response
